Janet M Whitesell

Janet M. Whitesell, 90, of Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully on April 10, 2020 at Chelsea at Brookfield in White Township, NJ.
Janet was born on April 20, 1929 in Summit, NJ to the late Frank and Catherine Simon
She was a graduate of Summit High School Class of 1947. She went on to further her education and follow her dream of being a Nurse at Orange Memorial Hospital Nursing School. She was employed at Morris View Nursing Home in Morris Plains, NJ prior to her retirement in 1991. Janet married the love of her life Raymond Whitesell Jr. in 1950. Together they celebrated 67 years of marriage before his passing in 2017. Janet enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed sewing, needlework and crafts. Above all she loved her family and treasured every moment spent with them. She will be sadly missed.
Janet is survived by her loving children, sons; Raymond Whitesell III and his wife Deborah, Richard Whitesell and his wife Lisa, daughters; Carol Clarke, Jane Santucci and her husband Robert, Joan Schoener and Nancy Searcy. 12 cherished grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her devoted husband Raymond she is preceded in death by 3 son-in-laws, Bill Chambers, Steven Schoener and Joseph Clarke.
Services at this time will be private. A memorial service celebrating Janet's life will be announced at a later date.
