Jane Ellis

Jane Ellis, 88 of Hackettstown, NJ passed away on September 5, 2024 with her loving daughter by her side.

Jane was born on January 2, 1936 in Dordrecht, Netherlands to the late Harry and Dorothy Intveldt.

She came to the United States as a teenager. Jane married the love of her life James Ellis in 1955. Together they celebrated 51 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2006. Jane was a homemaker and truly enjoyed raising her children. She was an avid reader, loved to knit, crochet and play Mahjong. Jane was a member of the Seniors Group and a knitting group. Prior to the pandemic, Jane taught knitting and Mahjong at the Hackettstown Library. She was a true foodie, and would join friend and family to dine out. Above all Jane loved her family and friends. She will be sadly missed.

Jane is survived by her loving children son; James Ellis and his wife Laurie and daughter; Darlene and her husband Chip, her adored grandchildren; Andrew, Richard, Chelsea, Taylor, Denver and Jamie. She also leaves behind her caring brother William Intveldt and his wife Antoinette and 5 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband James Ellis, she is preceded in death by a daughter Suzan Friedman.

All services will be held privately.
