Jaime Naranjo Villegas, 96, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026, at home with his loving wife Gloria Naranjo by his side.

Jaime was born on March 11, 1930 in Armenia, Colombia to the late Lisimaco Naranjo and Ines Villegas.

Jaime married the love of his life Gloria Montealegre in 1968 celebrating 58 years of marriage. They moved to the United States in 1971. He and Gloria resided in Dover, NJ for a short period of time prior to moving to Hackettstown. Jaime was employed at Hackettstown Middle School as a custodian, retiring in 2003. He was a parishioner and eucaristic minister of Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Hackettstown. He also was eucaristic minister at Our Lady of Mountain in Long Valley. Jaime was custodial at St. Mary's school. He enjoyed music and playing the piano. Jaime was also an avid golfer. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted wife Gloria Naranjo and his sister Aleyda Naranjo.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Maguire Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 302 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.

Donations may be made in Jaime's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959


Jaime Naranjo-Villegas, de 96 años y residente de Hackettstown, Nueva Jersey, falleció pacíficamente el 4 de octubre de 2026 en su hogar, acompañado por su amada esposa Gloria Naranjo.

Jaime nació el 11 de marzo de 1930 en Armenia, Colombia, hijo de los difuntos Lisímaco Naranjo e Inés Villegas.

Contrajo matrimonio con el amor de su vida, Gloria Montealegre, en 1968, compartiendo 58 años de vida matrimonial. Se trasladaron a los Estados Unidos en 1971. Él y Gloria residieron en Dover, Nueva Jersey, durante un breve periodo antes de mudarse a Hackettstown. Jaime trabajó como personal de mantenimiento en la escuela Hackettstown Middle School, jubilándose en 2003. Le sobreviven su dedicada esposa, Gloria Naranjo, y su hermana, Aleyda Naranjo.

El velatorio se llevará a cabo el jueves 8 de octubre de 2026, de 5:00 pm. a 8:00 pm en Maguire Memorial Home, ubicado en 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. La misa funeral se celebrará el viernes 9 de octubre de 2026 a las 11:00 am en la Iglesia de la Asunción de la Santísima Virgen María, situada en 302 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
