Jacobo Odilon Sanchez Velez

Jacobo O. Sanchez Velez, 66, of Hackettstown, NJ and previously of Dover, NJ passed away on March 8, 2021 at Morristown Medical Center with loved ones by his side.
He was born on August 14, 1954 in San Baltazar Temaxcalac Puebla, Mexico to the late Florencio Sanchez and Elodia Velez.
Jacobo worked for many years as a construction worker for All Seasons General Contracting LLC. He enjoyed gardening in his yard and also looking after his chickens and ducks. He was passionate about his religion and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints in Ledgewood, NJ. People could always count on Jacobo to lend a helping hand, either at church or in his community. Jacobo enjoyed further educating himself in learning English, and his biggest dream was to one day become a citizen of the United States.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Maria L. Tellez Juarez, his children; Rigoberto, Cecilia, Marisol, Noe, Ana Laura, Jacobo, Cristina, and Leonor Sanchez Tellez. Jacobo is also survived by his 16 cherished grandchildren and his sister Maria Sanchez Velez.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers; Benito, Genaro, and Issac Sanchez Velez.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 5pm to 6:40pm for viewing and 7pm to 8pm for the Funeral Service at The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints, 156 Mountain Road, Ledgewood, NJ 07852.
