Gerard John Cicala

Gerard John Cicala, 66, of Mansfield, NJ passed away peacefully on September 2, 2023 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ

Gerard was born on June 23, 1957 in Newark, NJ to the late Joseph and Nancy Cicala.

Gerard was a graduate of Essex Catholic High School. He was employed as a postal worker for Garfield Post Office working his way up and serving as Post Master before his early retirement. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and coin collecting. He also enjoyed history and fishing. His true passion was his grandchildren and spending time with them. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving children; Gerard John Cicala II, Jennifer Cicala-Lin and her husband Robin and Nicole Lipinski and her husband Adam. His cherished grandchildren; Ethan, Dylan, Chloe, Jaxon, Leland, Georgia Mae and August. He also leaves behind his siblings; Anna Bailey, Michael Cicala and his wife Patty

Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 4-8 PM at the Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Theodore’s Roman Catholic Church, 855 Route 57, Port Murray, NJ 07865
