Frances Adeline Anderson

Frances Adeline Anderson, 98, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 14, 2024 at The Meadows of Heath Village.

Frances was born on August 18, 1926 in Morristown, New Jersey to the late Joseph and Mary Meyers. During her lifetime, Frances lived in New Vernon, Green Village, Madison, Cedar Knolls and Hackettstown.

Frances married the love of her life, Herbert Leo Anderson on November 18, 1945. The wedding ceremony was performed by the Rev. David Montgomery of Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church in Morristown, New Jersey. Together they celebrated almost 72 years of marriage prior to Herbert’s passing on October 4, 2017 at the age of 95. Frances was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church since 1932.

Frances was a graduate of Morristown High School and after graduating, she worked in the office at the High School for a period of time. She loved being a mother and devoted her life to her husband and children. She was a homeroom parent, chaperoned school trips and active in the PTA. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake. She enjoyed bowling, making crafts and playing Bingo. Frances was the essence of the definition of a mother and will be greatly missed.

Frances is survived by her loving sons; Herbert Leo Anderson and Scott Brian Anderson, her cherished grandchildren Brian Scott Anderson and wife Amber, and Jenna Nicole Anderson-Lucas and husband Jon. In addition to her husband Herbert and her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters; Edith Estelle Mattinson and Helen Marie Savadge.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Somerset Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 95 Mount Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920
