Eugene Wright

Eugene Wright, 75, of Califon, NJ passed away peacefully on October 3, 2017 in Morristown, NJ.
Born on November 4, 1941 in Califon, NJ to the late Burton and Helen Wright. Eugene was a graduate of Voorhees High School and a lifelong resident of Califon, living in the home he was born in for his entire life. He was employed for 32 years as the supervisor of the grounds for the Hunterdon Developmental Center. Eugene proudly served his country in the Vietnam War in the United States Army. He married the love of his life Joanne Wright, the two were married for 21 years. Eugene enjoyed hunting, fishing, and NASCAR. His favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr.
He is survived by his devoted wife Joanne, his sisters Priscilla Dalpe and Brenda Gavren, Mother in law Stella Lencewicz, Brother in laws Arthur Lencewicz, Walter Lencewicz and his wife Mary, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 9:30 -10:30 A.M at the Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 10:30 A.M in the funeral home. Burial will take place at Pequest Union Cemetery at 30 Cemetery Rd. Great Meadows, NJ 07838
