Emma Trupia, 97, of Budd Lake, NJ passed away peacefully on December 19, 2016 at Hackettstown Medical Center in Hackettstown, NJ Emma was born on September 14, 1919 in Perth Amboy, NJ to the late Michael and Mary Korch. She graduated from Perth Amboy High School class of 1937. She was a devote catholic and a parishioner of St. Jude's Catholic Church. Prior to moving to Budd Lake she resided in Perth Amboy, NJ where she was a parishioner of St. Nickolas Greek orthodox Church. Emma loved her family and treasured every moment spent with them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving daughter, Caroline and her husband Gabriel DeCarolis Jr., her caring grandchildren, Michael and his wife Yennga Perkons, and Anne and her husband Pat Marabella and 2 cherished great-grandchildren, Michael George Perkons III and Victoria May Perkons. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Shafransky who died in 1969 and her second husband Diego Trupia who died in 1996. She is also preceded in death by her son William Shafransky who passed in 2005. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 3-6PM at the Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Jude's Catholic Church 17 Mount Olive Road, Budd Lake, NJ 07828 Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Scala Memorial Home.
