Elaina Rewiski

Elaina Rewiski, 81, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025 at her home.

Born in Newark, New Jersey on September 13, 1943. Daughter of the late Anna Storozuk Rewiski and William Rewiski.

Elaina moved to Hackettstown in 1957 from Kearny, New Jersey. She was a graduate of Hackettstown High School class of 1961. She went on to further her education and earned degrees from Centenary College for Women, East Stroudsburg University and Seton Hall University.

Elaina was a teacher in Hackettstown for thirty five years, retiring in 2000. She was a volunteer at Hackettstown Medical Center for seventeen years in the pharmacy department. She moved to Heath Village in 2013 where she volunteered with several organizations on campus. She was a former member of Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church choir and rosary altar society. She was also a member of the National Education Association, New Jersey Retired Education Association and the Warren County Education Association.

She is survived by an Aunt in Phoenix, Arizona and several cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 9 - 10:30 AM, at Maguire Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 302 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ. Burial will take place at Pequest Union Cemetery in Great Meadows, NJ
