Edward B. Trzeciakiewicz "Tracy", 87, of Great Meadows, NJ passed away on October 10, 2018 at Hackettstown Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Edward was born on March 10, 1931 in Franklin Township, NJ to the late Benjamin and Julia (Kravec) Trzeciakiewicz. Shortly thereafter the family moved to Great Meadows, N.J. where they established the family farm.
He married the love of his life the former Ann Petrilak on October 12, 1957. A farmer at heart, Edward first started as a vegetable farmer. He later became a sod farmer and so began Tracy Sod Farms. Edward was always a hard worker. While operating the farm with his family, he also worked as a Supervisor for the DPW of Allamuchy Township starting with the DPW in October, 1976. Edward was of the Catholic faith and a parishioner of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Great Meadows. He loved animals especially his dog Duke and enjoyed watching his backyard wildlife. He enjoyed the outdoors and the farm equipment. Above all family was everything to Edward. He adored his wife and treasured his children. He cherished every moment spent with his family.
Edward is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Ann. His loving children, son, Edward S. Tracy and daughter, Anne Marie Tracy. His caring sisters, Jean Walka and Ann Smulewicz and her husband Max. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 4-8:00 PM at the Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Ss Peter and Paul RC Church, 360 US Hwy. 46, Great Meadows, NJ 07838 Internment will immediately follow Mass at Pequest Union Cemetery in Great Meadows
