Edward Davila

Edward Davila, 68, of Mansfield, NJ passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025 at Hackensack Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Edward was born on November 17, 1956 in Bronx, NY to the late Martiliano Davila and Fredeswinda (nee; Mestey) Davila.

He earned two Master degrees one in Business Administration and one in Electrical Engineering and was employed at Picatinny Arsenal prior to his most recent retirement. Edward married the love of his life Vilma (nee; Rosado) in 1987. Together they raised 3 children. He was a fan of the Beatles and would often be singing their music. He enjoyed Jiu Jitsu, drawing, jogging, watching movies with his family, and attending car shows. Above all he was devoted to God and his family. He will be greatly missed.

Edward is survived by his devoted wife Vilma Davila, his loving children, Melanie, Desiree and Jonathan E. Davila, his mother, Fredeswinda Mestey, brother, David Davila and sister Marilyn Davila.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 11 AM -12:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 213 Main Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 PM in the church.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Maguire Memorial Home.
