Diane Riggs

Diane R. Riggs, 79, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away on January 26, 2023 at her home.

Diane was born on December 18, 1943 in Teaneck, NJ to the late John and Gertrude Cerny.

She was a graduate of Blairstown High School. Diane married the love of her life Bernard Riggs in 1987. She was employed as a linen coordinator at Hackettstown Medical Center prior to her retirement in 2017 where she was once honored as Linen Coordinator Of The Year. Diane loved the outdoors and was known for green thumb gardening, sharing the beloved sunflowers, roses and dahlias with loving friends. She enjoyed bird watching and taking long walks. She especially loved her trips to Maine where she fulfilled her lifelong dream of seeing a moose up close and going fishing. She was very talented at making dream catchers. She was a hard worker that would do anything for you. She will be sadly missed.

Diane is survived by her devoted husband, Bernard Riggs, her loving sisters, Rita and Alice Cerny, her Sister-in-law Priscilla Cottrill, niece, Crystal Cottrill, nephew John Cottrill, and great-nieces Robyn and Natalie Cottrill whom she considered to be her children.

Honoring her wishes, all services will be held privately.
