David M Swift

David M. Swift passed away at his home on February 23, 2025 at the age of 66.

Dave was born on March 28, 1958 in Morristown, NJ to the late Theodore and Marion Swift.

He earned his Associates degree in Computer Science from Mercer County Community College. David was employed as a Computer Manager for High Grade Beverage for over 20 years prior to his retirement in 2002. David loved Harley Davidson and enjoyed riding his motorcycles. He also enjoyed woodworking and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He is remembered fondly for his adventurous spirit camping, skiing, snowmobiling, hosting football parties, and spending time with friends and family at the beach. Dave loved traveling to his favorite spots in Maine; Key West, FL; Upstate NY; and Outer Banks, NC. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted fiancé, Ellen Poli; his loving daughters Maria Rickert, Laura Haugland, and Juliann Zimmerman; and his son-in-laws Kevin Haugland and Nate Zimmerman. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren Liam Rickert, Jack Rickert, and Oliver Haugland; his sister, Susan Swift; and his former wife, Karen Swift. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Swift.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 3-5 PM at Maguire Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 5 PM in the funeral home.
