Darlene Mattera

Darlene Mattera, 73, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully on April 29, 2021 at Hackettstown Medical Center in Hackettstown, NJ.
Darlene was born on February 11, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Peter and Gloria Mattera.
She was employed as a sales clerk at the Hackettstown Trading Post for many years prior to her retirement in 2013. Darlene was a parishioner of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Hackettstown. She was a talented artist and enjoyed painting. She created beautiful miniatures that had unbelievable detail it was difficult to believe a human hand painted it. In her younger years, she enjoyed trips to the casino.
She is survived by her loving cousins and dear friends.
Darlene is preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 302 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Entombment will immediately follow the Mass at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover, NJ
