Concetta M Cantelmo

Concetta M. Cantelmo, 66, of Budd Lake, NJ was an incredibly vibrant, beautiful, and caring person who passed away on May 6, 2025.

Concetta was born on September 27, 1958, in Hackensack, NJ, to the late Joseph and Maria Cantelmo.

She earned two degrees from the County College of Morris, Liberal Arts and Electronics. She was employed at CCM in the Engineering Technologies and Engineering Science Department as a Lab Coordinator since 1998. Concetta truly loved her job. She was a proud union member of the American Federation of Teachers. Concetta was passionate about fitness and exercised daily. Whether she was working out at the West Morris YMCA, walking outside or doing yard work, she was always very active. She showed how deeply she cared about the environment and social issues through her volunteerism. She was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the Library. She was quick with a smile, a kind word, or an offer of help. She loved her family and friends fiercely and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her partner, Christine Carlson, her loving brothers, Angelo Cantelmo, Joseph Cantelmo, and his husband, Chuck Riexinger, her sister-in-law, Jackie Cantelmo, her nephew, Alex Cantelmo, and niece, Kenzie Wayland, and her husband, Lee. She also leaves behind many cousins and countless friends who were like family, including the members of the YMCA’s 5:45 AM exercise groups and her fellow CCM Crafters. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Andrew Cantelmo, who passed in 2002.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM at the Maguire Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A Memorial service celebrating Concetta’s life will immediately follow the visitation at 1:30 PM in the funeral home.
