Carol Marie Mutz

Carol M. Mutz, 89, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully on April 5, 2019 at home with her loving family by her side.
Carol was born on December 21, 1929 in New York, NY to the late Alexander and Violet "Nelson" DeVine.
Carol graduated from Hackensack High School. She was employed at Densen-Banner in Ridgefield Park where she met and married the love of her life Herman Mutz. Together they celebrated 46 years of marriage until Herman's passing in 1999. Once they were married Carol left the work force and dedicated her life to her family. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Carol was an avid reader and loved music, particularly Johnny Mathis and Elvis Presley. She was an animal lover especially dogs. She was fond of light houses and dolphins. Above all she loved her family. She will be sadly missed.
Carol is survived by her loving children, Theresa Mutz, Edward Mutz, Debra Mutz and Anthony Mutz and his wife Susan. 5 cherished grandchildren, Ed Mutz Jr. and his wife Nicole, Jason Mutz, Jessica Fox, Kyle Mutz and his fiancé Summer, and Connor Mutz. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her devoted husband Herman.
At the request of the family, services will be private.
