Betty Earl

Betty Earl, 94 of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully at home on January 30, 2022 with her family by her side. Betty was born on September 29, 1927 in Hawthorne, NJ to the late Donald and Genevieve Way.
Betty was a Brownie Girl Scout Leader and also participated with the P.T.A. She enjoyed going to Flea markets, craft fairs, roller skating and doing ceramics. She really loved Bingo and would attend every hall possible that she could find. Betty also enjoyed going to Atlantic City Casinos to play the slot machines. Betty is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Reynold Earl whom she met while roller skating. From then on they met every Saturday at the roller rink for many years in Kenvil , NJ. She is also survived by loving son; Gary Earl and his wife Patti, daughter, Patty Huff and her husband Dennis, daughter Cathy McCourt and husband Tony. Cherished grandchildren, Michael , Jim, Tony (Nidia), Bryan (T.C.), Jason, Jessica and adored great grandchildren; Avery, Owen, Grace, Anthony. In addition to her parents Betty is preceded in death by her siblings, Violet, Billy, Eleanore, Irene and John. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 3-7 PM with a service at 6:30 PM at the Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A Graveside service will be held February 4, 2022 at Laurel Grove Cemetery, 295 Totowa Road, Totowa NJ.
