Barbara Eskow, 96, of Mansfield, NJ passed away peacefully on September 15, 2019 in Mount Olive, NJ with her loving family by her side.
Barbara was born on January 15, 1923 in Shrewsbury, England
After High School she attended military training. She met her future husband Michael Eskow in England while working for the military. Michael was serving overseas in England at the time for the United States and Barbara was serving for England. Barbara immigrated to the US and earned her citizenship in 1955. Together they moved to Hackettstown, NJ in 1964 to raise their family. She dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, singing and listening to music especially Julie Andrews. She loved to dance and was an amazing cook. She will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her loving children, a son, James ‶Jimmy″ M. Eskow; two daughters; Patricia Eskow Albanese and Pamela Jean Bachman McCarthy; her cherished grandchildren, Frank Albanese Jr. and his wife Laura; Bill Bachman; Jennifer Bachman; Christina Caron and her husband Charles and a great-granddaughter, Destinee. She is preceded in death by her husband Michael and her son-in-law Carl McCarthy.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 4-8PM at the Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the St. James’ Episcopal Church, 214 Washington Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840
