Arthur E Stuber

Arthur E. Stuber, 76, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully on December 14, 2021 at Hackettstown Medical Center.
Arthur was born on May 5, 1945 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Oscar and Antonia Stuber.
After High School Arthur furthered his education attending printing school. He owned his own print shop for some time before returning to school to obtain his insurance license. Arthur was a Principal and part owner of Stuber Insurance Agency from 1982 up until his retirement in 2010. He was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Hackettstown, NJ. It is here that he met his companion of 39 years Janet Long. Together they enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. He also enjoyed going to Yankee games, Broadway Shows and going to their beach front condo at the Jersey Shore.
Arthur was very active in the church always putting others before himself. He played a key role for fund raising for the church. Always wanting to help those in need, Arthur sponsored 5 children from Haiti and kept in touch with them even when they became adults. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted companion, Janet Long and her son David Long; his sister, Ann Gerhardt and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Walter and sister-in-law Barbara.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 3-6 PM at the Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 409 E. Baldwin St., Hackettstown, NJ 07840 Burial will take place at Pequest Union Cemetery in Great Meadows, NJ
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arthur's name to Gethsemane Lutheran Church.
