Arthur Thomas Lencewicz

Arthur Thomas Lencewicz "Artie", 70, of Great Meadows, NJ passed away at his home on March 28, 2026.

Artie was born on April 3, 1955 in Newton, NJ to the late Walter and Stella Lencewicz.

He was a graduate of Hackettstown High School Class of 1973. Artie was employed as a Senior Repairman for Hunterdon Developmental Center for many years prior to his retirement in 2020. His passion was farming and he worked tirelessly on his farm in Great Meadows. Artie enjoyed deer hunting, trapping and fishing. He also enjoyed watching football. Artie was an animal lover. His dogs and cats were spoiled immensely. He was a very caring person and always there to help when needed. He will be greatly missed.

Artie is survived by his loving sister; Joanne Wright, his nieces; Denise Trella and her husband Joel and their children Max and Violet and Sherry Flyte and her husband Aaron and son Andrew and his sister-in-law Mary Lencewicz.

In addition to his parents Walter and Stella, he is preceded in death by his brother Walter Lencewicz Jr. and his brother-in-law Gene Wright

Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 10 am - 12 pm at Maguire Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Funeral Service celebrating Artie's life will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will take place at Pequest Union Cemetery in Great Meadows, NJ
