Anna Tarnawsky, 92, of Flemington, NJ (formerly of Glen Gardner, NJ) passed away peacefully on March 10, 2023 at Independence Manor in Flemington, NJ.
Anna was born on June 15, 1930 in Khashchiv, Ukraine to the late Stephan and Katherine Khaschivsky
She married the love of her life Rev. Deacon Bohdan Tarnawsky who passed away in 1994.
Anna was employed as a Dental Assistant for 30 years prior to her retirement in 1975. She was an avid reader, a fabulous cook and baker and enjoyed knitting. She knitted scarves for all her family and friends. Above all she was a wonderful mother and grandmother who truly enjoyed caring for her family. Upon moving to Independence Manor she quickly made friends and loved the very caring staff there. She considered them her second family. She will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her loving children, son, George Tarnawsky and his wife Darlene and daughter, Halyna Conticchio and her husband William. Her cherished grandchildren Mark Conticchio and his partner Natasha Burns and Katherine Tarnawsky and 2 nieces and 1 nephew. In addition to her husband Bohdan, she is preceded in death by her grandson Stephan Tarnawsky who passed in 2021.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 335 US 46, Great Meadows, NJ 07838 Burial took place at Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, 141 Sarah Wells Trail, Cambell Hall, NY
