Anna F Garlick

Anna F. Garlick, 90, of Hackettstown, NJ (formerly of Netcong, NJ) passed away peacefully on September 27, 2022 at home with her loving daughters by her side.


Anna was born on October 1, 1931 in Allamuchy, NJ to the late Michael Niechwiadowicz and Anna (nee; Yawney)


Anna was a graduate of Hackettstown High School. She married the love of her life William Garlick in 1952, together they celebrated 60 years of marriage before his passing in 2012. Anna was employed as a secretary for Lucent until her retirement in 2001. She also worked part time at QuickChek in Netcong where she fondly became known as the QuickChek Lady. Anna took pride in organizing the class reunions. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with her children all over the world, including going to Vegas for many years. Above all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.


She is survived by her loving daughters; Sandra Suker and her husband Robert; Kelli Hourihan and her husband John; her treasured grandchildren Jacqueline Suker, Stephanie Suker, Dylan Hourihan and Nicolette Hourihan and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband William, she is preceded in death by her 8 siblings, sisters; Jean Niechwiadowicz, Mary Baksza, Helen Roosevelt, Catherine Magelnicki, Stella Chowanski, brothers; Michael Rusakowsky, Anthony Russack and John Russack.


To honor Anna’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Anna asks that you privately celebrate her memory in your own way. We will miss her dearly.
