Alice D Petty

Alice D. Petty, 95, of Hackettstown, NJ, previously of Queens, NY, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2021 with loved ones by her side.
Alice was born on August 27, 1925 in Bronx, NY to the late Morris and Emmy Wolf.
She was a graduate of Walton High School in NY class of 1943 and worked as a clerk for Ziff Davis Publishing Agency for many years until her retirement in 1987. Alice enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the movies and doing crossword and word search puzzles. In her spare time, she loved to read and listen to music. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
Alice is survived by her daughters; Deborah Arcabascio (Vito) and Sharon Somers (Steve); her cherished grandchildren; Jennifer Tate (Jason), Carolyn Arcabascio (Brett Robinson), Stephen Somers (Samantha), and Kristin Heymann (Zach). She also leaves behind her loving great grandchildren; Heidi and Sara Tate, Lola Heymann, and Sophia Somers as well as her grand-dogs; Prudence, Greta, Louis, Oakley, and Cassius.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Bernard J. Petty who passed in 1997.
Family and friends may gather for a memorial inurnment ceremony on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 11:00 AM, at the Pequest Union Cemetery, 30 Cemetery Road, Great Meadows, NJ 07838.
