Alfred B Allen

Alfred B. Allen, 90, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024 at home with his loving family by his side.

Alfred was born on October 26, 1933 in New Brunswick, NJ to the late Abed and Ester Allen.

He was a graduate of Hillside High School. Allen previously resided in Perth Amboy, NJ prior to moving to Hackettstown in 2000. He married the love of his life Carol (nee; Ziegeler) in 1975. He was employed as a truck driver for 25 years and then went to the city of Perth Amboy and worked as a security guard for the water department prior to his retirement in 2000. Allen enjoyed collecting tools and knives. He was always tinkering to improve things. He was a fan of WWE Wrestling and enjoyed watching it weekly on television. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be greatly missed.

Allen is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years Carol Allen, his loving children; Sherri Foley and Gary Allen and his wife Peggy, 6 grandchildren; Ryan, Christopher, Aimee, Scott, Craig and Eric. He also leaves behind 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Marci Kaminski.

Graveside services at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ will be held privately.
