Agnes Cecelia Hunt (1939-2025)

Agnes Cecelia Hunt, 85, of Hackettstown, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Hackettstown Hospital.

Born on September 28, 1939, in Dover, NJ, Agnes was the beloved daughter of the late James and Helen Finnegan.

Agnes was a devout Catholic and active member at the Church of Assumption, Hackettstown, NJ where she was a lecture, CCD teacher and choir member. Agnes was also a 25 year member of The Book Club.

Agnes had a rare ability to form meaningful long term friendships. Sh was an avid reader and loved to swim especially in the ocean.

She is survived by her loving husband, Leonard Hunt, her son Leonard and grandson Julian. She also leaves behind her sister Helen Faith and her many dearly loved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her son David.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Maguire Memorial Home. 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of Assumption on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Burial at Hackettstown Union Cemetery will immediately follow>
